This year’s Best in Pharmacy Awards 2025, held on Thursday, October 9 at the Anais Club and organized by BOUSSIAS Events, once again celebrated the most innovative and creative approaches in the field of pharmacy.
More than 200 professionals from the pharmaceutical, business, and academic sectors, along with institutional representatives and members of the press, attended the ceremony, recognizing initiatives that redefine the pharmacy as a space of quality, care, and experience.
Among this year’s honorees, Tsikandilakis Lefteris + Architects stood out, receiving three top distinctions:
Both award-winning projects are located in Crete, giving this year’s recognition a special significance. It marks an important moment for Cretan architecture, as the architectural quality and creativity developed on the island are being acknowledged internationally, both in terms of architectural excellence and in redefining the pharmacy as a space of experience and care.
Founder Lefteris Tsikandilakis commented:
“Every pharmacy we design aims to offer something more than aesthetics, an experience for both the professional and the visitor. For us, ‘Pharmacy as Experience’ represents a new perception of the pharmacy space, where care and functionality are transformed into architectural experience. Having designed over 510 pharmacies worldwide, we know that each project is unique, an opportunity to translate function into experience and care into space. These awards belong to our team and collaborators, who consistently serve the same vision: architecture with meaning and a human center.”
These awards add to the practice’s steady upward trajectory over recent years, during which it has established itself as a point of reference for pharmacy architecture in Greece.
With distinctions from international institutions such as the BLT Built Design Awards, German Design Awards, and Architizer A+Awards, as well as inclusion in Architizer’s list of the 30 Best Architecture Firms in Greece, the practice continues to evolve remaining faithful to its philosophy of architecture centered on the human experience.
